Attorney Olszewski Speaks with Eyewitness News about the ‘Luzerne County Predator Catcher’
41-year old Musa Harris, of Kingston, calls himself the ‘Luzerne County Predator Catcher’ and he says his mission is to put a spotlight on alleged child predators. Many of those encounters have led to police investigations and involved high-profile people. Harris says he has only one mission; to protect children. But is it legal?
Former Luzerne County Judge and District Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski say Harris is not breaking the law.
“This individual is nothing more than a witness to a crime the difference is that he’s using sophisticated modern I.T. technology to look for and find evidence against a potential criminal defendant,” said Olszewski
Olszewski says prosecutors can review this potential evidence.
“I think the D.A’s office simply needs to evaluate his credibility just like they would evaluate the credibility of any potential witness to determine the accuracy of his information and how he comes across and presents himself to a jury,” stated Olszewski.
Efforts to reach Carman and Mazzino for comment have been unsuccessful. Galli is set to have a hearing later this month. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
