Scranton Criminal Defense Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski Speaks to WBRE-TV about the Penn State Sexual Abuse Scandal
Date: November 16, 2011
Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County - Peter Paul Olszewski says State prosecutors are licking their chops after hearing Jerry Sandusky's interview with NBC on Monday night. Olszewski, who was Luzerne County District Attorney for 7 years and then a Luzerne County Judge for 10 years, says he listened to the interview with keen interest and was stunned by what he heard.
Olszewski told Eyewitness News, "He certainly made admissions. He talked about being naked in a shower with a child. He did not help himself whatsoever and it will be used against him." Olszewski added, "Now he has to stick to his story for the rest of the case. So, from a prosecutor's perspective they like this. Why he made those statements, I will never know."
Olszewski talked about Mike McQueary sending e-mails in which he apparently changed his story about what he did after allegeldy witnessing Sandusky raping a young boy. He said, "We don't know what exactly he told the rand Jury since we only have seen a summary of that testimony not a full transcript. He obviously felt he was feeling the heat and wanted to say something."
